The National Executive Council, Old Boys Association, Government Secondary School Owerri has paid tribute to the memory of Sir Godson Onyeche, former Principal of the school, whose demise has been announced by the family.

TRIBUTE TO A DISTINGUISHED EDUCATOR AND FORMER PRINCIPAL OF GOVERNMENT SECONDARY SCHOOL, OWERRI
The National President, Arc. Chidi Okoli, the National Executive Committee (NEC), and the entire Old Boys Association of Government Secondary School, Owerri, received with profound shock and deep sadness the news of the passing of our beloved former Principal, Sir Godson Onyeche, who faithfully served our great alma mater from 1984 to 1989.
Sir Godson Onyeche was more than a school administrator; he was a disciplined leader, an inspiring mentor, a dedicated educationist, and a father figure to countless students who passed through the gates of Government Secondary School, Owerri during his tenure.
His commitment to academic excellence, moral uprightness, discipline, and character formation helped shape the lives and destinies of many Old Boys who today continue to make meaningful contributions to society.
As an active and visionary Principal, he left an indelible mark on our institution and contributed immensely to sustaining the enviable standards and proud traditions for which Government Secondary School, Owerri is renowned.
His legacy of service, integrity, dedication, and selfless leadership will remain a source of inspiration to generations of students and educators.
At this moment of grief, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, associates, former colleagues, and all who were touched by his remarkable life and service. We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
Though Sir Godson Onyeche has departed this earthly realm, his noble contributions, cherished memories, and enduring legacy will continue to live in the hearts of the Government Secondary School, Owerri family.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and may his memory remain eternally blessed.
