Ojemba Magazine is a Nigerian based Pan-African magazine fostering social values, celebrating African treasures and promoting African Renaissance.
Anchored on the philosophy of humanism, the magazine, through its factual reportage, insightful analysis, data-driven advocacy and social innovation projects, promotes social action pursuant to its core objective of uplifting society through public interest journalism.
‘Ojemba’ is an African word of Igbo origin meaning traveler, sojourner or tourist. Metaphorically, a true Ojemba is an open-minded seeker, researcher, trailblazer and light bearer of knowledge. He is an unbiased advocate of truth and justice, and the profession of journalism is a matrix reflecting the allegorical meaning of Ojemba, as mirrored in our dictum: truth beyond borders.
We recognize, in ethical context, the primary obligation of journalism to truth, as a servant of conscience with abiding loyalty to citizens. Thus, we go for truth beyond borders. We defend truth beyond borders. And we stand with truth beyond borders.
