The Audio Visual Rights Society of Nigeria (AVRS) joins the Nigerian film industry in mourning the passing of one of its members, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo
Ogogo was one of the pillars of the Nigerian film industry, a distinguished actor and consummate professional whose remarkable contributions to the growth and development of the industry spanned several decades. Through his talent, dedication, and memorable performances, he entertained generations of audiences and contributed immensely to the rich legacy of Nigerian cinema.
His passing is a profound loss, not only to his family and colleagues but to the entire creative community whose growth he helped nurture through his work and commitment to the profession.
On behalf of the Board, Management, and entire membership of AVRS, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the Nigerian film industry.
We pray that Almighty God grants his family the strength and fortitude to bear this painful loss and grants the soul of Taiwo Hassan “Ogogo” eternal rest.
