The Pan African Writers Association ( PAWA) was represented at the just concluded high level consultative conference on the next steps to the landmark UN resolution declaring the trafficking of enslaved Africans as the gravest crime against humanity by the PAWA Secretary General, Dr Wale Okediran.

The three day conference which was called at the instance of the Ghananian President and African Union champion for advancing the cause of Justice and the payment of reparations, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, witnessed a galaxy of African Heads of State, Diplomats, Ministers, experts, activists and representatives of global international development and cultural organizations.

At the end of the intensive and well attended event, President Mahama inaugurated three global panels on Restitution of Cultural Artefacts, as well as Advisory and Legal matters on Reparatory Justice as part of the next steps towards achieving the objectives of the landmark UN resolution.
