Former Chief of Staff to the Governor and Abia State PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Sir Okey Ahiwe, has felicitated with the immediate past Governor of Abia State and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, His Excellency, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
Describing Ambassador Ikpeazu as a natural diplomat and an apostle of peace, Sir Ahiwe noted that his profound understanding of the complexities of human nature has shaped his deep respect for diversity in its varied dimensions and prepared him for balanced and constructive engagement across spheres.
In his words: “One of Dr. Ikpeazu’s most remarkable attributes is his profound appreciation that between the two sides of a coin lies the essential ingredient for balance. This uncommon depth of character, I believe, prepared him for public service and distinctively qualified him for the duties of a top diplomat.
“His trajectory in public leadership has further exposed him to the countervailing currents of power, affirming the timeless fact that while truth accommodates criticism, falsehood, often masquerading as truth, attacks dissenting opinions, seeking to manipulate public perception. A man endowed with such eclectic wisdom and cosmopolitan outlook is naturally destined to excel as a diplomat.”
Sir Ahiwe wished Ambassador Ikpeazu a splendid birthday celebration and prayed that God would grant him wisdom and grace to effectively drive Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s resolve to reposition Nigeria’s diplomatic relations with Europe, in pursuit of strengthened development partnerships and the enduring quest for global peace.
