For years, we have opposed the national ruling party with an extreme level of resentment, yet we have had little or nothing to show for it.

Our roads have deteriorated and become almost impassable. We have been kept in the dark for decades, with no lasting solutions to our challenges. Politicians have come and gone, leaving behind dozens of promises and excuses, yet the situation remains largely unchanged.

It is time for us to cast our nets to the other side of the sea. Perhaps something good awaits us there—if only we can shun these sentiments and take our destiny into our own hands.

We do not need anyone to convince us further. We know the realities before us.

We also know that our neighbours in the opposition may face limitations if they remain outside the ruling party. If elected on the platform of the ruling party, they may not enjoy the same level of access, cooperation, or attention required to attract meaningful federal presence and development to our constituency.

For too long, we have experimented with opposition politics at the National Assembly level, with little tangible impact on the infrastructural challenges confronting our people.

In Ukwa Federal Constituency, the experiment with opposition politics in the National Assembly is over!

Nde Ukwa, it is time for us to connect to the Centre with Hon. Samuel Okezie Nwogu.

It is time to put development ahead of sentiment, embrace strategic political engagement, and pursue the opportunities that come with being connected to the centre of government.

The time is now. Ukwa must connect to the Centre.
