The Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, has assured residents and visitors in the State of maximum security during and after the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.
A release signed by the Abia State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Maureen Chinaka, says that CP Onwuemelie gave the assurance following an intensive meeting with all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in the State, during which he ordered the deployment of additional patrol teams across the State.
According to the release, the CP charged Officers and men of the Command to continue to discharge their duties professionally and ensure uncompromising respect for human rights. He wished all Muslim faithful happy Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.
