The Igiriukwu Women Football Team of Owaza paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Samuel Nwogu, Esq., where they presented the championship trophy they recently won.
The visit was a celebration of the team’s achievement and an opportunity to appreciate Hon. Samuel Nwogu for his encouragement and support for women, youths and grassroots development.
The team was led by their captain, Mrs. Prevailer Solomon, alongside their coach, Snr. AP Lucky Nwagwu. Also present were Mrs. Rejoice Lazarus and Mrs. Precious Chinwendu.
During the visit, the team expressed their appreciation to Hon. Samuel Nwogu for his leadership and for supporting initiatives that encourage young people and women to participate actively in sports. And also pledged their loyal support for his election victory in the 2027 general election.
In response, Hon. Samuel Nwogu, Esq., the APC Candidate for the Ukwa-West and East Federal Constituency, congratulated the women on their success. He encouraged them to remain united, support one another and continue working together for the progress of their team and community.
