The Hon. commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rt.Hon.Sir.Christopher Ogbonnaya Enweremadu has commended the people of Iheorji, Ngwa Ukwu in Isiala Ngwa North LGA for being fervent in their support for the people’s Democratic party, assuring them that the reward mechanism of the party will continue to favour them.
The Hon. commissioner made the remarks when he took the PDP’s 5/5 campaign mantra to the people of Iheorji, called on them to remain resolute and steadfast with the PDP, then assure them that PDP is the only party with the antidote to cure the wounds inflicted to Nigerians by the APC.
He used the opportunity to take a swipe at those who have benefited from the PDP over the years, but suddenly turned against the party due to their inordinate ambitions, insisting that any vote outside the PDP is simply a vote against Prof. Uchenna Eleazar Ikonne, and urged them to vote PDP all the way, adding that in line with his usual routine, he has approved for the release of the sum of Two million, Five hundred thousand Naira to Twenty five small business owners to enable them boost their businesses.
In their remarks, the PDP Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, Elder Sam Esindu reminded the people of Iheorji of where they are coming from, and what awaits them if victory is achieved in the PDP in 2023, maintaining that Sir. Christopher Enweremadu has all it takes to attract democratic dividends to them, and appealed to them to at least vote for the PDP for his sake.
While contributing, the General Manager of Abia State synage and advertisement Agency (ABSAA), Hon. Tony Otuonye described those calling for selective pattern of voting as the real enemies of the people, and called on the people to put the PDP mantra of “PDP all the way” into action as that’s the way to go.
Also speaking, the PDP Candidate for Isiala Ngwa North /South Federal house of Representative, Prof. ACB Agbazuere, represented by his Campaign director, Sir. David Ezindu, the PDP House of Assembly Candidate for Isiala Ngwa North, Hon Collins Iheonukwu, the immediate past transition committee Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North and a son of the soil, Hon. Udo Nwaogwugwu Y O, as well as the Chairman Local Government Service commission, Elder Victor Azumara all Thanked Sir. Enweremadu for finding time to interface with the people, describing him as a man with a large heart, and called on the people of Iheoji to remain immovable and unshakable by voting for all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming General elections.
The event later witnessed the handover of cash of #100, 000 to each of the 25 beneficiaries of Sir. Enweremadu’s financial support grant to small business owners by the Hon. Commissioners for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rt. Hon. Sir. Christopher Enweremadu.
The Deputy Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, Hon Chuks Amaike, a special adviser to the Governor, Hon Obinna Esochaghi, former Secretary to the Local Govt, Hon K. C Ekwueme, the ward chairman of the area, Hon Blessing Jiakponna, a state officer of the PDP, Sir Peter Nwokonko, the councilor representing Ngwa Ukwu ward 5 in Isiala Ngwa North legislative council, Hon Bankeria Enweremadu among others were present at the occasion.
