Dr. Adaora Ifeoma Anyanwutaku, Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Police Service Commission (PSC) took a bow from the Public Service on Friday, February 2nd 2024 in a colourful ceremony held at the Corporate Headquarters of the Commission in Jabi, Abuja. She clocked 60 years yesterday Saturday, February 3, 2024.

At the Valedictory ceremony that witnessed the handover to Aminu Malumfashi, Director, Department of Police Investigation in the Commission, Dr. Anyanwutaku expressed her gratitude to Mr. President for the opportunity given her to serve her fatherland. She also thanked the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation for finding her worthy for recommendation to serve in the nation’s highest bureaucracy as a Permanent Secretary.

She extended her sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, retired Inspector General of Police for the support and direction he gave her while in the Commission.

Dr. Anyanwutaku said she is leaving the Service fulfilled and thanked God for the good health and grace she enjoyed throughout her public service career. She commended the Staff of the Commission for their love and support and pleaded that they should extend it to the next Permanent Secretary that will be posted to the Commission.

“I am grateful for the great support from the Hon Chairman, Commissioners of the Commission, Directors and staff. ” “Their support tremendously helped me to navigate and deliver on our mandate. I also appreciate the support of the critical stakeholders of the Commission especially the Nigeria Police Force which provided me with the wings to fly”.

The new Director overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Alhaji Malumfashi after receiving the instrument of office, thanked God for a glorious end of career for the Permanent Secretary. He prayed that God will continue to be with her and open other doors for her in future.
Malumfashi pledged to serve with humility and to creditably hold the mantle until a new Permanent Secretary will be posted to the Commission.

Commission Chairman, Dr. Arase who was on official assignment outside Abuja wished Dr. Anyanwutaku a rewarding retirement from the Public Service.
Dr. Arase wished her well in her future endeavours.

The ceremony was witnessed by Chief Onyemuche Nnamani , Honourable Commissioner in the Commission, Directors and Staff of the Commission.

Dr. Anyanwutaku’s disengagement from the Public Service continues today Sunday with a thanksgiving service and reception in Abuja.
