The Abia State PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe has paid glowing tributes to iconic politician and social historian, the Okwubunka of Asa, Sir Don Ubani on the occasion of his birthday anniversary to day.
Describing Sir Don Ubani as great son of Asa, courageous political crusader and true Igbo patriot, Chief Ahiwe said that “Through the insightful analysis and incisive truths contained in his writings, Sir Don Ubani often holds up the mirror for his subjects to see their true reflection. He is never cowed by attempts to break the mirror or cut off his hands. He is emboldened by his conviction that truth remains constant even when the purveyor’s medium or his life is threatened.”
While wishing him a memorable birthday anniversary and many more glorious years ahead, Chief Ahiwe remarked that people like Sir Don Ubani are gatekeepers of social liberty who should be celebrated as role models in society.
