Ahead of 2023 general elections, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, Professor Uche Ikonne has charged Senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates of the PDP in Abia state to be magnanimous in victory.
Professor Ikonne made the call during the presentation of certificates of return to Abia PDP Senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates at the State Party Office, Umuahia.
The former Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University, who acknowledged enormous contribution of the stakeholders to the growth and development of the party, adviced the candidates to reach out and extend a hand of fellowship to those whom they contested the party’s tickets with, having an open mind and a measure of honesty.
He assured them that they will work together as a team to ensure victory of the party, come 2023.
The Chairman of the PDP in Abia State, Rt. Hon. Asiforo Okere congratulated the candidates on their nomination with a task to ensure the party’s victory in the forthcoming election.
The DG Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organisation, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Elechi, Deputy Director Abia South, Chief Ibe Nwadioha, Member Representing Umunneochi State Constituency, Hon Okey Igwe, among other dignitaries accompanied Prof Ikonne to the event.
