The Abia State PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe has stated that the PDP in Abia State will bounce back like the eagle after the party’s experience in the 2023 general elections.

Chief Ahiwe made the assertion at the extended stakeholders’ meeting of the party held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the party’s new office in Umuahia. He called on all PDP faithful in the State to renew their commitment to the task of rebuilding the party, which, according to him, is currently going through an essential and strategic reorganization process.

In his words, “Contrary to the convenient presumptions harboured by some people, the PDP in Abia State is growing through the experience of its past and emerging as an unstoppable force. People are entitled to their opinions, but their opinions do not define the strength and direction of the party which is now being repositioned to bounce back like the eagle. I sincerely appeal to all party faithful who felt aggrieved for one reason or another to demonstrate the Godly spirit of forgiveness and join hands with our leaders to strengthen the party for a greater tomorrow. We are stronger together and united we stand.”
