Renowned medical practitioner, politician and public health advocate, Dr. Okorafor Ukiwe has been appointed as Abia State Coordinator of Benjamin Okezie Kalu Friends Initiative (BOKFI).
The appointment was announced by the BOT Secretary/National Secretary of BOKFI, Hon. Orji Udeagha in a statement following a resolution of the stakeholders of the Organization, including National and States Executives at a meeting held on December 21, 2024, at Abia Hotels Umuahia.
Dr.Ukiwe, a former executive chairman of Ohafia LGA, is the medical director of Healthwise Hospital and CEO of Basuki Healthcare Limited.
He is expected to bring his private sector and political leadership experiences to bear on his new mandate towards repositioning the Organization for greater impact in society.
