It was a carnival-like atmosphere when members of the Divine Ladies for Igwebuike 2027, IPU West Ward, paid a solidarity visit to Chief Barr. Samuel Okezie Nwogu, APC candidate for Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency, at his residence. Singing and dancing in large numbers, the women expressed joy and solidarity as they declared total support for what they described as the Igwebuike 2027 project.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Woman Leader, Mrs. Happiness Onwukwe, declared that the Divine Ladies and their families were solidly behind Chief Nwogu’s mandate. She appealed to be considered for participation as polling-unit agents, stressing their readiness to contribute actively to the electoral process.
In a symbolic gesture, the women presented Chief Nwogu with a wrapper and a cutlass, offering fervent prayers for God Almighty to remove every obstacle, protect his journey both spiritually and physically, and grant him success and victory.
The Coordinator, Chief Bright Nwosu, reaffirmed the group’s commitment, stating that the women were not only supporting Chief Nwogu but were also taking his message to the grassroots. Mrs. Amarachi Ibe also expressed her support and reiterated the women’s dedication to the cause.
Their remarks were followed by more songs, dancing and celebration as the women continued to demonstrate enthusiasm for the 2027 movement.
The gathering ended on a strong note of solidarity, prayer and optimism, with the Divine Ladies reaffirming their resolve to remain at the forefront of grassroots mobilization for Chief Barr. Samuel Okezie Nwogu.
