The National Delegates Convention (NDC) of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP), earlier scheduled to hold in Asaba, the Delta State capital between April 27 to 30, will now hold from August 3 to 6, 2023.
The Convention, with the theme, Developing Economy: Arts and its Market was called off by the National Executive Council of the association due to multiple reasons, which include clashes of important national engagements, all of which the leadership of the association at both national and state levels are playing pivotal roles.
As approved by the NEC, the NDC 2023 will now hold from August 3-6 2023. A reviewed programme outline is to be released to the chapters and interested members of the public soon, as members of the association from 23 chapters, other industry players and invited guests are expected to gather in Asaba.
“This change in dates and plans becomes inevitable also due to series of national events such as the general elections, and the forthcoming national census excercise and the imminent transition excercises across the country,” said the President, Mr. Israel Eboh adding that delegate members should look forward to an even better engagement come August.
The delegate convention will feature various artistic engagements and professional programs such as exhibitions, round-table discussions, performances, and presentations of awards to deserving industry players.
Members are, however, encouraged to reach out to their chapters for detailed information regarding the rescheduled NDC, and especially for the registration procedures.
