The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Okey Ahiwe has commended the women of Amaise Eziama Ntigha for their sustained support to the Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu led administration in the State.
Chief Ahiwe who gave the commendation during the annual August meeting of Amaise Eziama Ntigha Women held at the Obingwa Civic Hall, Eziama Ntigha in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, urged them to use the period of their August meeting to brainstorm on possible ways of fast tracking development in the area and the State at large.
He further described women as partners in progress whose critical role in the development of any society cannot be overemphasized, and promised to continue partnering with them in their programmes.
Contributing, the Chairman, Abia State Traditional Rulers Council and traditional ruler of Eziama Ntigha, Eze J.N Nwabeke represented by his traditional prime minister, Chief Uba Iheanacho while appreciating the women for the quantum of commitment and support towards the infrastructural development of the community, also stressed the need for them to remain united in love.
Earlier in their speeches, the leader of the women, Ugoeze Cecilia Nwabeke and Mrs Stella Uwakwe stressed the need for women to rediscover and develop their skills in other to make a difference in the society.
In their respective goodwill messages, the Deputy Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Chief Chuks Amaike, the PDP candidate for Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Chief Collins Iheonunekwu; the General Manager of Abia State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ABSAA), Chief Tony Otuonye; the Education Secretary of Isiala-Ngwa North LGA, Mrs. Onyinyechi Williams, among others, thanked the women for always believing in the PDP while assuring them of more democracy dividends and better days ahead.
The event which featured cultural displays and distribution of food items also attracted the presence of PDP stakeholders and other notable personalities from the area.
