All is now set for the 2024 edition of the annual national conference of Forum of Former Deputy Governors in Nigeria.
Billed to take place in Abuja for two days, from 22nd to 23rd October, the conference aims to bring together thought leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to deliberate on strategic solutions to Nigeria’s pressing challenges.
According to the chairman of Forum of Former Deputy Governors in Nigeria Comrade Chris Akomas, notable conference Speakers are expected to handle inspiring sub themes under the central thought provoking theme of “Strategic Solutions for Good Governance, Food Security and Sustainable Growth in Nigeria”.
Comrade Akomas further stated that the conference has been designed to focus on six key areas, including;
- Leadership and Citizenship: Exploring innovative solutions for effective leadership and citizenship
- Ensuring Food Security: Addressing the challenges and opportunities in Nigeria’s agricultural sector
- Stabilizing the Economy: Developing policies and strategies for economic stability and development
-Project Sustainability and Completion as Panacea for Effective Development
-The Renewed Hope Agenda: Prospects and Challenges
-Overhauling the Education Curriculum as Springboard for Wealth Creation.
Some of the Speakers expected to lead discussions during critical sessions of the conference include, Prof Uche Uwaleke, Prof Habu Mohammed, Afolabi Olowookere and Prof Nuhu Gworgwor.
A special feature of this year’s annual conference is the participation of delegates from the Chambers of Commerce of Exporters and Importers of Poland(IGEI), who apart from other engagements are expected to stage a mini exhibition of Polish products.
Being the third edition, the 2024 edition of the conference of Forum of Former Deputy Governors in Nigeria promises to be a veritable platform for policymakers, business leaders, academics and the public to join the conversation on shaping a better future for Nigeria.
