As the 2027 elections approach, many young professionals find it challenging to voice their support for a specific leader or political party. In the meantime, their actions are primarily influenced by two key factors: value and vision
A recent survey by the African Youth Leadership Center revealed that in 2023, Nigeria’s labor force consisted of approximately 84.15 million people, accounting for around 48% of the nation’s population and 76.3% of its working-age citizens. With youth aged 15 to 35 representing roughly 60% of the population, they have been instrumental in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape since the country embraced democracy in 1999.
These statistics highlight the crucial role the youth play in influencing the political direction of the nation, particularly in matters of national importance. As these issues unfold, the City Boy Movement offers a platform for young, progressive Nigerians to access vital information and ideas on governance, leadership, and youth development.
With chapters and entrepreneurial hubs across all 36 states, the movement provides a space for professionals in every sector to take full advantage of the opportunities and incentives offered by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It serves as a platform for critical thinkers, offering a framework for the most innovative minds to thrive.
Beyond politics, City Boy represents a dynamic network of forward-thinking leaders across industries such as finance, governance, trade, education, engineering, media, and public administration. The movement is dedicated to advancing the vision of the Renewed Hope Administration and its focus on empowering young people, positioning them at the forefront of leadership.
