The 2023 All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, National Convention has produced a vibrant youth and former National Legal Adviser of the Party, Barrister Sylvester Ezeokenwa Jnr. as the 4th National Chairman of the 3rd largest party in Nigeria.
Barr Ezeokenwa emerged through an overwhelming voice vote at the Convention held at the International Convention Center, ICC, Awka, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
The Convention which also produced New National Executive Members and National Working Committee was witnessed by the National Leader of APGA and the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo CFR, and the outgoing National Chairman Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye, among others.
Speaking during his acceptance speech tagged Project DriveAPGA, the new National Chairman among other policy pronouncements, assured that his leadership will embark on massive membership drive using digital technology, declaring that APGA will be rebranded to create a new narrative.
He pledged to move APGA from where it is currently to where it should be in the Committee of Political Parties in Nigeria, declaring that new ideas will be welcomed to transform APGA as party of the masses.
Earlier in his address, the former National Chairman, Ozonkpu Dr Victor Oye while reeling out his achievements, urged the new leadership to sustain and surpass the internal democracy they have instituted in the party.
