The Honourable Member Representing the good people of Ukwa West and Ukwa East Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives,Hon Chief Chris Nkwonta, has extended his congratulations to one of his constituents and an Ukwa born Paralympian,Miss Esther Ogechika Nworgu for securing Nigeria’s second medal (Silver medal) at the just concluded 2024 Paralympic Games held in Paris.
Esther recorded a remarkable performance during the Paralympic Games after lifting an impressive 112kg and 118kg respectively.
Hon Nkwonta notes that Esther’s achievement at the just concluded Paralympic Games is quite commendable as it is a testament to her skill and determination.
“Your determination and unmatched skills have earned you this recognition and victory, and this is a confirmation to the fact that there’s ability in disability”
Your achievement is a laudable one and has brought Ukwa and Abia State in general to limelight globally.
The Federal Lawmaker tasked the Paralympian to continue in her exemplary performance,while urging her to maintain her dedication and never waver in her pursuit of excellence.
Hon Nkwonta assured the Paralympians that the 10th National Assembly would spare no effort in enhancing their performance by making laws that would continue to promote their skills and usher in a conducive environment for their development.
Congratulating the Paralympian on her victory, the Honourable Member promises to host and receive her officially on his resumption from their annual recess while wishing her well in her future games..
