The President, NIPR, ably represented by Dr. Ahmed Sajoh, fnipr
Hon. Commissioner for Information, Abia State
Distinguished Members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Abia State Chapter
Ladies and gentlemen,

I stand before you today with a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility. I thank you sincerely for the confidence you have reposed in me by electing me as the Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

First, I give glory to God Almighty, the source of wisdom, strength, and favour. Without Him, this moment would not have been possible.

I appreciate the Electoral Committee for a transparent and credible process, and I thank every member of this great Institute for your participation, support, and trust. Your unity today is a powerful statement about the future of Abia NIPR.

I wish to specially appreciate the National President of our great Institute, Dr. Ike Neliaku, the Registrar, and the Chairman, Chapter Support and Development Committee, for their exemplary leadership, guidance, and unwavering support to chapters across the federation. I also sincerely appreciate the Local Organising Committee for their dedication and hard work, as well as the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Abia State, for the support and goodwill extended to this Chapter.

Colleagues, today we stand at the threshold of history. With all sense of modesty, this moment reflects not a personal achievement, but the steady growth of our Chapter as I assume this responsibility as the first female Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations produced by the Abia State Chapter. It is a testament to how far Abia NIPR has come and a reminder of how much more we can achieve together.

I also acknowledge past Chairmen and former EXCO members whose leadership, sacrifices, and foundations have sustained this Chapter over the years. We stand on your shoulders, and we are grateful.

This election is not about an individual, it is about service. It is a call to work together to reposition Abia NIPR as a Chapter defined by clarity, unity, professionalism, and progress. I accept this mandate with humility, fully aware that leadership is a shared responsibility.

As we move forward, our commitment is clear: to promote unity and inclusiveness; strengthen professionalism, capacity building, and ethical practice; enhance the visibility and relevance of Abia NIPR; build partnerships that create value; and ensure transparency and collective decision-making.

We will not lead in isolation. We will listen. We will consult. We will carry everyone along, because every member matters, and every voice counts.

I call on all professional colleagues to put the election behind us and focus on the bigger task ahead: building a stronger, respected, and impactful Abia NIPR.

Thank you for the honour.
Thank you for the trust.
God bless you all, and God bless Abia NIPR

Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu, fnipr
