The Abia State PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe, has sent warm greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria, particularly in Abia State, as they celebrate this year’s Eid el Maulud.
In his goodwill message, Chief Ahiwe described Eid el Maulud as a significant event commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SWT) and serving as a reminder of His exemplary life, teachings, and the virtues of Islam such as peace, love, and brotherhood.
Chief Ahiwe, accordingly, urged all Muslim Ummah to reflect deeply on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed and His message of peace, tolerance, unity and mutual coexistence.
He emphasized the importance of fostering an atmosphere of harmony, understanding, and mutual respect among people of all faiths in Abia State and Nigeria as a whole.
Chief Ahiwe also called on the Muslim community to use this period of celebration to extend helping hands to the needy and vulnerable in the society.
