Tuesday, December 30, 2025 was a significant day for the entire Alozie Family of Umuibe, Umuapu, Apu-Ukwu Autonomous Community, Isiala Ngwa South LGA, as they gathered in their numbers to honour their mother, grandmother, inlaw, sister and aunt, Ezinne Grace Nwanyinweulo Alozie on her 78th birthday anniversary.

The day also marked the historic dedication of Engr. ThankGod Alozie’s beautiful, top standard duplex by the Catholic Bishop of Aba Diocese, Most Rev. Professor Augustine Ndubueze Echema.

Known and widely respected for his simplicity, humility and time-consciousness, Bishop Echema arrived Engr. Alozie’s residence at about 9:30am in the company of Rev. Father Peter Olumba, Parish Priest of Saint Francis Catholic Church Umuapu/Umuakpor and Rev. Father Cyril Okafor.

While praying for the Family, he commended the efforts of Engr. ThankGod Alozie, not only for erecting such a magnificent building at home, but for inviting the Clergy, family, friends and well-wishers to share his joy and glorify God for His blessings. The Bishop further commended Engr. Alozie and his siblings for honouring their Matriarch, Ezinne Grace Nwanyineulo Alozie and prayed that God would continue to shower her with His blessings for good health, long life and protection.

The event later featured a special celebration of Mass by Rev. Father Peter Olumba and other Priests at the residence of Engr. ThankGod Alozie, followed by tributes to Ezinne Grace Alozie, musical entertainment, comedy performance, dance performance by the grandchildren of Ezinne Grace Alozie, and presentation of gifts to Umuibe women and Umuibe children in nursery, primary and secondary schools.


In his opening remarks, Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Augustine Uzodinma Alozie extoled Ezinne Grace Nwanyinwulo Alozie whom he described as a paragon of humility. He noted that notwithstanding the years of daunting challenges, Ezinne Grace Alozie remained steadfast as a hardworking, peaceful, cheerful and God-fearing woman, making her a role model for others to emulate.


Similarly, in their tributes to Ezinne Grace Alozie, her children, Edith, Nkechi and ThankGod who spoke on behalf of others; Dr. Mrs Joy Alozie, Sir K. C. Alozie and few others, lauded Ezinne Grace Alozie as a woman of exceptional courage, perseverance and devotion to God. They expressed gratitude to God for keeping her alive to witness such a great day when she was celebrated in her lifetime and not otherwise.
Describing his mother as a great inspiration and positive influence in his life, Engr. ThankGod Alozie particularly urged everyone whose parents were alive, to endeavour to honour their parents when the parents were still alive to enjoy such honour.




In his vote of thanks marking the end of the event, Engr. ThankGod Alozie, on behalf of his siblings, conveyed his profound gratitude to His Excellency, Most Reverend Professor Augustine Ndubueze Echema, Reverend Father Peter Olumba, Reverend Father Cyril Okafor, Rev. Father Paschal Uba, Rev Father Chinedu Ubani, Mother Stella Anaba, Pastor and Mrs. Patrick Enoch, Alhaji Bos and fiends from Lagos, Staff of Ogechi’s Factory, Ode-Remo, Ogun State, Old Students Association of Our Ladies Comprehensive Secondary School, Umueleghele (2005 set), Chief Kingsley Samuel, Signor Nath Nwoko and Rocobath, Umuakpor Cultural Troupe, Penco International Band, inlaws, friends and well-wishers.

Engr. Alozie also specially thanked the Chairman of the event and his elder brother, Mr. Augustine Uzodimma Alozie and his wife, Elder Lawrence Alozie (Dede Ebere), Sir K. C. Alozie and his wife, Sir Tony Ihemere, Engr. Bath Eze Alozie and his wife, Barr. (Mrs) Uju Alozie, Mr. Uchenna Alozie, Mr. Eugene Okezie Alozie, Mr. Darlington Ufomadu and a host of others who graced the event with their esteemed presence.
