‘Ojemba’ is an African word of Igbo etymology, meaning traveller, sojourner, or tourist. Metaphorically, Ojemba is an open-minded explorer, researcher, pioneer, and purveyor of knowledge. He is an unbiased advocate of truth and justice, and the profession of journalism is a matrix reflecting the allegorical meaning of Ojemba, as mirrored in our dictum: truth beyond borders.
We recognize, in ethical context, the primary obligation of journalism to truth and conscience.
