As the Peoples Democratic Party gets set to elect new leadership across the federation, a chieftain of the party and a former Deputy LG Chairman Chief Okechi Utah has called on the leadership of the party to ensure the enthronement of a people-oriented leadership.
in an interview with Newsmen in Umuahia, Chief Utah said, it will take a chairman who embodies a fusion of intelligence, resourcefulness, vibrancy, vision, and unwavering passion to steer the party to success.
In his words, “I want to thank the stakeholders and leadership of the party for taking the right step of zoning the chairmanship to Abia North. I have also taken time to study the caliber of men who are aspiring to lead the party from that zone, and I am satisfied with their pedigree, personality, and personal attainment. I must tell you they are all eminently qualified, but the party needs energetic, creative, courageous, resourceful, and goal-focused leadership, a leader with the requisite experience of leading the opposition, a steady hand with dynamic leadership qualities to weather the storms of the tough challenges of opposition”
Chief Utah stated that the party must elect a transformative and visionary leader who we can trust with the affairs of the party and I have no fear that we have such a man in our party looking at the mood of the members of the party they are ready and willing to embrace and work with the new leadership, PDP is still the strongest and the only grassroots oriented party in Nigeria and from what I am seeing today the party has a very bright political future but only if we elect the right leaders.
