Visionary Leadership Anchored on Service
In a stirring and deeply personal address, the newly appointed President, Kester Oshioreame, offered a glimpse into the values and experiences that shape his leadership ethos. With humility, he reflected on his long-standing journey with the association:
“I am not a self-made man… I didn’t emerge because I’m the most qualified but as one ‘favoured’ amongst the horde of qualified Crabites at this moment in history.”
This powerful statement underscores a leadership grounded not in self-promotion, but in stewardship, gratitude, and the collective spirit of Crabites. He paid glowing tribute to past leaders and reiterated the ExCo’s commitment to collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity:
“We don’t have all the answers. We insist on collaboration and cooperation from one and all.”
A key highlight of his message was a heartfelt call for reconciliation among members. Acknowledging past misunderstandings and mistakes, he extended an olive branch:
“Let’s move from pains, suspicion & hurts of the past, to forgiveness, healing, and reconciliation… It is a new dawn.”
He urged all members to shun divisive distractions and instead contribute constructively to the collective vision, promising open-door engagement and readiness for constructive feedback.
Looking Ahead: A Legacy in the Making
The President affirmed the readiness of his team referred to as the “11 Wise Men” to deliver on their mandate through wisdom, shared commitment, and faith. He emphasized that in the coming weeks, after broad-based consultations, the ExCo will unveil an administrative blueprint that will guide their work.
With renewed zeal, the association embarks on a new chapter, one that promises greater unity, growth, and the realization of the full potential of the Crabites legacy.
Welcome to an era of: RECONCILIATION, CONSOLIDATION, INTEGRATION, and REVITALIZATION.
