The Abia State PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe has extoled the Traditional Ruler of Osusu in Aba North LGA and former Chairman of Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty Eze Isaac Ikonne, on the occasion of his 95th birthday anniversary and 51 years on the throne.
In his birthday message, Chief Ahiwe described Eze Ikonne as a statesman and a priceless cultural treasure in Nigeria.
According to him, “Eze Isaac Ikonne is an iconic institution, a frontline statesman and priceless cultural treasure that stands tall as a beacon of inspiration, not just in Ngwa land but across the Igbo nation and Nigeria. At age 95, and with 51 glorious years on the throne, his rich institutional memory ought to be properly documented and his palace formally designated as a national heritage centre for educational research, excursions and a major hub for local and international tourism promotions. Men of his ilk, particularly those that serve as custodians of history and moral compass for future generations, are very rare nowadays, and I am profoundly honoured to celebrate him,”
Chief Ahiwe while wishing the revered Monarch joyful birthday celebrations, prayed that God would continue to keep him in robust health and grant him strength to sustain his fatherly roles in society.
